Join us at our Spring Benefit on Tuesday, April 16th at The Harvard Club of New York from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm as we honor Martha Alvarez, feature one family's experience, announce an exciting new partnership, and debut our new Family Center in the Bronx!
The evening will include a cocktail reception, food stations, and passed hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds from the event will support our services for families with children from birth to age five.

Past Events
5K Virtual Run/Walk
Our 5K Run/Walk event kicked off on Saturday, October 14th when friends, staff, and members of our Board of Directors walked, and ran, together around the Lower Loop in Central Park. Though it rained again this year, a good time was had by all!
Then on Tuesday, October 17th, with clear skies and cool breezes, our corporate sponsors and friends completed 5K and convened afterward for an informal networking event at Tavern on the Green. Meanwhile, other friends and supporters hosted their own walks and runs to provide more chances for more children.
We exceeded our goal again this year by raising more than $84,000 to support our work with families in the Bronx. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of generosity - with special thanks to our corporate sponsors!
20th Anniversary Benefit
On April 25th more than 200 philanthropic New Yorkers gathered together at The Harvard Club to celebrate Chances for Children’s 20+ years of service to the community and to honor our Co-Founders Liz Buckner and Hillary Mayers. At this, our most successful event yet, more than $200,000 was raised to support our services for families with young children in the Bronx.

5K Virtual Run/Walk 2022
Our 5K Run/Walk event kicked off on Saturday, October 1st when friends, staff, and members of our Board of Directors walked, and ran, together. Despite the rain, it was an affirming gathering of many who are longtime supporters of our work. Then on Wednesday, October 12th our corporate sponsors and friends completed 5K – running and walking around the Lower Loop in Central Park. And many other supporters hosted their own walks and runs to provide more chances for more children.

5K Virtual Run/Walk 2021
Our 5K Virtual Run/Walk event kicked off on Saturday, November 13th and concluded on Saturday, November 20th, 2021. More than 130 people participated in the 5K Run/Walk Event and nearly $50,000 was raised. We are grateful to everyone who enjoyed running or walking with family, friends, and colleagues in support of Chances for Children.

Gala 2019
We had a wonderful evening at the Chances for Children 2019 Gala, honoring Susan Chinitz, Psy.D. The event celebrated CFC’s continued work in the Bronx, and offered guests the opportunity to engage with our team and learn more about our increased efforts to help families dealing with trauma. Gala 2018
Chances for Children’s 2018 Gala, “Celebrating the Past, Creating the Future,” was held on May 8th, 2018. It was a full and interactive evening celebrating CFC’s commitment to nurture relationships between caregivers and their young children and the partners that make our work possible. Our honorees were Ronald J. Weiss and Dr. Ava Siegler. Thank you to all our partners, volunteers and honorees.
CFC 5K 2018
As part of the Generosity Series, the Chances for Children 5K Run/Walk took place on November 11th, 2018 in Manhattan’s Riverside Park. Chances for Children is very thankful to all of our fantastic 2018 #CFC5K charity runners and walkers. We are also thankful to everyone who donated to support our work with families in the Bronx.
