Lillian Rountree

Co-executive Director

Lillian Rountree joined Chances for Children as Co-Executive Director in 2021 and brings with her significant experience in fundraising, communications, and nonprofit management. She has been in nonprofit executive leadership positions for the past decade and a half.

Lillian is a New Jersey native who raised her two children, now young adults, while living in Manhattan, Pittsburgh, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

Formerly, Lillian was Director of Development and Communications for Urban Pathways, a nonprofit serving homeless adults in New York City, and Chief Development Officer for Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, a school for children with hearing loss with five campuses in four states.  

For eight years Lillian served on the Board of Directors of OPTION Schools, Inc.  She also served on the Hearing Center Auxiliary Board of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Chapter of A.G. Bell Association, and the Pennsylvania Preemie Network Advisory Committee.

Lillian holds a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Human Development from George Washington University.

In her spare time, Lillian enjoys hiking and photography.
