Beatrice Kessler-Goldsmith

SENIOR Therapist

With over 20 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) and supervisor, Beatrice Kessler-Goldsmith has been working in the field using various therapies that include individual, family, couple, and group modalities across different settings. Beatrice received her master’s in clinical social work from Columbia University. Seven years ago, she returned to her primary interest working directly with children and families; joining the Chances for Children team.  As a child of Argentine immigrant parents, she is sensitive to issues related to cross-cultural differences and assimilation.  At Chances for Children, Beatrice provides bilingual (English/Spanish) services specializing in maternal-infant mental health and trauma.

Beatrice recognizes how important connections and relationships are to the development of healthy individuals. Providing an environment to understand, support, and stabilize relationships has resulted in positive outcomes for families. Having the opportunity to witness the resiliency of children and their caretakers and being part of the process has been life-affirming. Beatrice finds it a privilege to be part of this journey in supporting children, caregivers, and the community.
