Anjette Rostock

Therapist & Clinical Intake Coordinator

Anjette Rostock, MA, LMSW, was born in Hangzhou, China, and raised in NYC. Anjette first joined Chances for Children as a Clinical Social Work Intern in 2018 and was hired as a Clinician in 2020, she also assumed the additional role of Clinical Intake Coordinator in 2021. Anjette believes that Chances for Children’s emphasis on the early relationship between a caregiver and a child exemplifies the healing and everlasting power of connection and support. Anjette is honored to work with the CFC team to provide supportive, sensitive, and reflective holding environments for babies and young children and their families.

Prior to joining Chances for Children, Anjette worked with children and families in various settings. Anjette worked as a Two’s Teacher at Blue Apple Early Childhood Learning Center; a Coordinator/Creative Writing Facilitator with adolescent boys at Westchester County Correctional Facility; and a Research Assistant, participating in projects focusing on community adventure playgrounds and the use of narrative psychology in military families. She published her thesis in 2020 on the psychosocial implications of aggressive symptoms in boys diagnosed with PTSD. She also currently serves as a Psychotherapist, for people of all ages, at an outpatient clinic in the Bronx.

Anjette received her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, with a focus in developmental psychology and creative writing, from Sarah Lawrence College. She then received her master’s degrees in child development and social work from Sarah Lawrence College and New York University’s dual degree program.  In her spare time, Anjette enjoys reading, yoga, and spending time in nature.
